Secondary School
Our Secondary School consists of both our middle and high school students (grades 7-12). The Secondary School offers a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum within a nurturing Christian environment, designed to challenge and inspire students throughout their educational journey. Our program is meticulously tailored to equip students for higher education and a fulfilling life beyond the classroom. We place a strong emphasis on academic excellence, ensuring that students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive world.
In addition to academic rigor, we prioritize spiritual development and personal growth, believing that these elements are essential for well-rounded individuals. Our experienced educators are dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking, innovation, and ethical reasoning. They engage students through diverse teaching methods that cater to various learning styles, ensuring that every student can thrive.
Our secondary school program strikes a balance between rigorous academic standards and a Christ-centered worldview, preparing students not only for college but for life beyond. We emphasize critical thinking, personal growth, and spiritual development as integral components of our educational approach.
We integrate Christian ethics into all subjects, encouraging students to apply their faith in both their studies and daily decisions. Our program is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students, highlighting effective study habits, time management skills, and personal responsibility. We offer opportunities for dual enrollment, a variety of college preparation electives, and comprehensive career guidance.
Our commitment goes beyond academic excellence; we aim to prepare students for college, career, and life as responsible and informed citizens. This encompasses college counseling and the promotion of a culture rooted in lifelong learning and leadership. Ultimately, our high school curriculum is designed to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are ready to make a positive impact in the world, grounded in a strong foundation of faith and education.
At Calumet Christian, we recognize that the teen years are pivotal for deepening spiritual understanding and preparing young adults for life's moral and ethical challenges. Our high school program is dedicated to fostering a mature faith, ethical leadership, and a commitment to serving others.
In our Biblical teaching and application, high school students engage in comprehensive Bible studies that explore complex theological concepts and learn to apply Biblical principles to real-world issues. This approach fosters an in-depth understanding of scriptures, encourages critical thinking about Christian ethics, and helps develop a mature, personal faith in God.
Our chapel services and emphasis on spiritual disciplines create an environment that is thought-provoking and relevant. These services feature guest speakers and student-led worship, while we also encourage personal spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation on the Word, and Bible study to help students deepen their faith journeys.
Additionally, our program emphasizes service learning and global awareness, providing students with opportunities to participate in local community projects. This engagement teaches the importance of empathy, global awareness, and putting faith into action.
Furthermore, we promote faith and intellectual inquiry, encouraging students to critically engage with their beliefs. They explore how Christianity interacts with various worldviews and contemporary issues through discussions, debates, and research projects, enabling them to articulate and defend their faith in an increasingly complex world.
