College & Career Options for your next steps

Calumet Christian School offers comprehensive college and career counseling services to help our students navigate the complexities of post-secondary education and career planning. Our guidance counselors work closely with each student, providing personalized advice on college selection, the college application process, and scholarship opportunities. We also explore alternative pathways, including vocational training, apprenticeships, and trade certifications, to help students discover fulfilling career options aligned with their skills and interests.

Our goal is to find the best fit for each student, whether it's a college, a trade school, or direct entry into a career. To support academic readiness, we provide opportunities for SAT preparation and offer resources for exploring technical programs and certifications.

We believe that every student is unique and deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our counseling services are designed to empower students to achieve their goals, whether that means excelling in higher education, mastering a trade, or embarking on a rewarding career.

Our guidance counselor meets individually with each student to help them determine essential information, resources, and inspiration to help our students make informed decisions about their next steps. We understand that each student's path is unique, and we're here to support you in discovering and pursuing your passions and calling.

Explore, Discover, Decide

Colleges and Universities: For those students dreaming of a traditional college experience, college visits and a vast range of universities and colleges are presented and discussed with students.
Trade and Vocational Schools: When we have students interested in a hands-on career right after graduation, we can work with them to help them discover vocational paths that offer practical skills and a quick entry into various trades.
Ministry Opportunities: For students called to full-time ministry, internships, leadership opportunities, and other methods to engage in mission work are provided to prepare for faith-based vocations.
Military Service: When military and public service is the goal of a student, we ensure they are prepared every step of the way with ASVAB preparation, and meetings with the different branches of the military.

INvestEd is a free resource for Hoosier students and parents looking for help with college planning and financial aid. At INvestEd, we help families understand how to fund college wisely to help minimize potential education debt.

BIG FUTURE

BigFuture is a free online planning guide that helps all students take the right first step after high school.  You can check out careers you're interested in. You can find colleges based on what's important to you. You can discover ways to pay for college.
